Faulensee – A Picturesque Village on the Shores of Lake Thun
Faulensee is a charming village located directly on the shores of Lake Thun in the Bernese Oberland, offering breathtaking views of the Alpine panorama.
In the village, you'll find various restaurants and a Volg grocery store (open Monday to Saturday).
Just a short walk away, you can visit the beautiful Faulensee lakeside swimming area, located right on the deep blue Lake Thun, which is freely accessible all year round.
Take a relaxing stroll along the lake promenade from Faulensee to Spiez and enjoy the panoramic views of the lake and mountains.
Faulensee is the perfect starting point for exploring the Bernese Oberland.
The village is about 16 km from Interlaken and just under 13 km from Thun. Our Bijou is also easily accessible by public transport from Thun or Interlaken. The bus stop "Faulensee, Am See" is only a few minutes' walk from our Bijou.
