Rhonda comes from a theatrical background. An Eastern Newfoundland gal, she is very friendly and likes to engage with guests. Paul has a UK military aviation background and, as you may have guessed, is British/Canadian. He is also very friendly and engaging. He likes to play his guitar. We married June 18th 2022 in our school!

We are located in a large former high school. We offer on-site, virtual reality experience, and a family friendly, safe axe throwing experience. We also have a full-size gymnasium available for use by guests - basketball, badminton, volleyball, etc. and a games room with a pool table, air hockey, Fuzball, and ping pong - ideal if you are traveling with pre teens/teens. We have four rental units - Odin's Den has a queen plus cot, seating area, TV and private kitchenette, and bathroom. It is very spacious. Next, we have two family/group units, Ragna Suite and Lagertha's Suite, each with two double beds and a set of bunk beds. One contains a separate bedroom, and the other has a full private kitchen attached. Both have seating and dining areas and are very spacious. Finally, for the budget travelers, we have Liefs Den, which is a basic room with a double bed, tv streaming only, coffee, microwave, and toaster. THIS UNIT DOES NOT HAVE A BATHROOM, but we do have public washrooms (NO ACCESS TO A SHOWER). The local community has everything you need to make your stay memorable - from walking trails (including The Iceberg trail and the mysterious St. Brendan's trail) to boat tours, electric bike rentals close by, excellent restaurants, a pub, and a general store. Take a walk on our beach close by and gather up fresh mussels to cook back in your room. We offer discounts off any activity here at RAPPA (Rhonda And Paul Peninsula Adventures), so, why don't you try throwing some axes, Or, plunge yourself into another 3-D surround world with our Virtual Reality headsets available to rent - play mini golf, ride some wild coasters, shoot 'em ups, fly a plane and much much more. If you have kids under 10, we can set up our bouncy castle in the gym. We love to give guests a full tour of this very unique property that overlooks a stunning Bay. We look forward to hosting you. Relaxed and very laid back. Our traffic jams are 5 cars in a row. Wild life sightings are common for moose, Arctic rabbits and caribou. May and June is giant iceberg season. July and August is whale season. If you are here in April, you have a good chance of seeing Polar bears that float across from Labrador. The local scenery is stunning and varied. There is even a moonscape close by. We are only 15 mins from the World Heritage site of L'Anse aux Meadows - Viking landing site some 900 years ago. There are several excellent restaurants close by, offering tasty fresh local cuisine. There is a real Newfie pub 10 mins away with live band every Friday. Our local restaurant, The Daily Catch has live music at 6.30 daily in season. If you need supplies, our general store, Burdens stock just about anything you are likely to need. You will find the locals to be very friendly - don't be afraid to chat with them.
