Reninge is a rural village in the Belgian province of West Flanders and is a borough of Lo-Reninge. Enjoy our central location. Reninge is a stone's throw away from all places of interest.
The green surroundings can be explored by bicycle or on foot (junction nearby). There is no shortage of pubs, cafés and restaurants along the way and even farmhouse ice creams provide the necessary refreshment. The Westhoek cycling network is over 1,100 kilometres of cycling fun through the green, flat polders, over rolling hills and past historic towns, picturesque villages and witnesses of the First World War.
Go canoeing on the Ijzer or you can head for the coast, De Panne (beach and Plopsaland), Koksijde or on the French side Bray-dunes. Beauvoorde Castle, art viewing in the little church of Steenkerke, the boutique town of Veurne,.... All worth a visit.
On the other side, you are about the same distance from Mount Kemmel, a trip on the "téléferique" from the Red to the Black mountain.... The town of Poperinge with its hop festivals, the hop museum andTalbot House, where English soldiers could take a break away from the battlefield during WWI. The International Art Event in Watou, the war history in Ypres, with Flanders Fields and the Last Post under the Menin Gate, the funeral corridor and the Ijzertoren in butter city Diksmuide, the dreamy town of Lo, where once Caesar tied the horse to an ancient tree, Jules Destrooper's biscuit museum....all this within a radius of 20km.
