The cottage has all mod cons to ensure you have a pleasant, comfortable and relaxing stay:

- Living room/dining room: CD/DVD player, flat screen TV with satellite subscription to TV Vlaanderen (with access to English-speaking channels), DVDs, games, comics, a 3-seater sofa and two armchairs, a dining table with 6 chairs.
- For babies: a travel crib (on request - bring a duvet or sleeping bag), a child's chair and a change pad are at your disposal
- Kitchen: dishwasher, fridge, cooker with electric oven, microwave oven, Senseo coffee machine, electric kettle, toaster, raclette machine, blender and various useful accessories.
- Miscellaneous: free Wi-Fi access, washing machine, deep-freezer, vacuum cleaner, iron and ironing board, washing line, etc.
- Outside: wooden garden furniture and sunbeds with cushions, parasol, barbecue, etc.
It is in Waillimont, in a place full of charm and history that we invite you to spend pleasant moments.
The reception is very careful. On arrival, the beds will be made, the household linen (kitchen and bathroom) will be at your disposal,...
We welcome you to a former farm outbuilding, which was operated by my grandparents.
A little history
- Waillimont (Mount Wallia): Dependency of Saint-Médard, extending over Orgeo; 17th and 18th century forges, exploiting iron extracted in the region
- Jean-Mathieu de Marchant bought the domain of Biourge and built the forges of Waillimont in July 1693
- In 1748 (?) Jean-Louis de Gerlache, squire, lord of Gomery, became the owner.
- In 1773, Jean-Louis sold the Waillimont site to his son François, who then took the name «de Waillimont» to distinguish himself from his older brother.
- Later, Gerlache's family exploited the iron ore on his land there.
...
- In 1980, a property (called Château de Waillimont) was built nearby, on part of the Waillimont domain.
- In 2018, the castle was acquired by Michel Boreux and his wife.
