In the heart of Hobart in hip MidTown, The Rox is a group of luxurious self-contained 1-2 bedroom apartments offering unique city sanctuary. Select from the original repurposed heritage apartments or the new apartments in the highly acclaimed mixed development, The Rox Hobart. Views of The 'rooftops of Hobart', the mountain and a private garden are special. Midway between the Waterfront and the North Hobart "foodie" precinct, and just a few minutes walk from the CBD. All apartments are spacious and welcoming designed by award-winning architects Core Collective with interior design by Tess Newman-Morris. Onsite "Omotenashi" is an intimate food experience wowing Hobart residents and visitors with its creative Tasmanian /Japanese blend of culinary offerings - advance bookings for this essential.
In 2021 I added a contemporary new build onsite to add to the existing heritage building, Roxburgh House where we have been welcoming visitors and providing specialist boutique accommodation since 2003. With The RoxHobart new development completion in 2021, we now have 7 unique apartments in the existing heritage building and also in the contemporary new building all on the same site. Tourism and travel has been my lifelong passion and I love that I can share my beautiful Hobart and my love of heritage buildings with my guests.
The surrounding "hood" is the most interesting part of the city of Hobart. It is the part most loved and frequented by locals with its mix of edgy bars, and cafes, late night haunts, heritage buildings and the most authentic small shops in Hobart, ie not just the regular tourist traps, but where the locals go for shopping. Best coffee in Hobart can be found here in a a few of the great coffee shops within metres of The RoxHobart and Roxburgh House. A diverse range of local products including homewares, baby specialties, outdoor stores, music shops, sewing, bike specialists and much more!
