Riverside Rest is a haven created with guest comfort in mind. Enjoy a freshly cooked or continental breakfast with fresh fruit, homemade bread and jam. Dinner is also available by arrangement. Riverside Rest is nestled in a quiet area with river views from just about every room. Opened Easter of 2017 with contemporary furnishings, light and airy rooms & modern spacious bathrooms it is a great place to relax & unwind from the stresses of every day life. All rooms are air-conditioned, have their own bathrooms, desk/table, wide screen, smart TVs with free Netflix, free You Tube & free WiFi. All bedrooms have access to a balcony with river views & outdoor settings. Please note: all bedrooms are upstairs. The Riverside Rest offers the privacy of a hotel with the comfort of a bed & breakfast. The common areas provide spacious lounge and dining rooms and a deck, all overlooking the river. There is also a library and games for guest enjoyment. Off street parking is provided. Come, stay, relax, we know you will be back.
The Nambucca River offers pristine crystal clear waters for guests to enjoy. Fishing, boating, kayaking, stand up paddle boarding. swimming, snorkelling, fun, fun, fun - in, on & around the water. The river is so clear & clean that you can see the fish and there is abundant wildlife & great bird watching. Dolphin watching is available all year and whale watching is from June to mid November. Nambucca Heads is a small town with some lovely ladies boutiques, some great cafes & restaurants, picture theatre, parks & recreation areas. The Riverside Rest is situated a short, level walk to the RSL, Bowling & Golf clubs. Golf packages are available. The breakwall offers an ever changing artwork, where locals & visitors adopt & paint rocks, some maintaining their artworks year after year. Kids are kept amused in the search for "Wally". As well as the river, Nambucca has some beautiful beaches including Shelly Beach which was voted in the top 10 beaches in Australia. Riverside Rest is a great base to explore the nearby towns of Macksville, Valla, Bellingen, Bowraville, Dorigo & Scotts Head. Local museums: Headland Museum, Frank Partridge Military, the Folk & the Mary Bolton Pioneer Cottage.
