Edge Hill Classic Lowset Queenslander 3 Bedrooms, 1 bathroom with separate toilet, Family friendly, Fantastic area, Close to the trendy Edge Hill precinct, with restaurants, boutique shops, Green & Red arrow walking tracks, Cairns Botanical Gardens. The property is a well maintained, good sized 3 bedroom timber home. With plenty of room to move, there are 3 bedrooms. The bathroom has a full sized bathtub with a rain type shower head over the tub. The toilet is separate from the bathroom. The kitchen has a ceramic cook-top with oven, dishwasher, refrigerator/freezer, microwave, rice cooker, blender, cutlery, crockery etc. Has a large separate dining room and has a very large lounge room with a 60" TV, a large office desk, a PC with a colour printer/scanner, for your use. Has a carport with all weather access adjoining the house (you won't get wet if its raining getting from your car in to the house) , the main Living Room has A/C along with the 3 Bedrooms and dining/kitchen area (all A/C units are quite split type) . Fast NBN 100Mbps Internet. We have a few fruit trees (Orange, Avocado, Pawpaw, Mango, Dragon Fruit, Bananas) on the property & you are welcome to pick when available.
We live very close by (at the house next door) and have done since the late 70's. So there is plenty of information that I can provide about our wonderful part of the world. Its up to you as far as interaction goes, we respect your privacy and we are more than happy to help out with local knowledge in regards to information about activities, tours, things to do and the things to avoid. We are well seasoned travellers ourselves and understand how great local knowledge is huge advantage.
The leafy inner city suburb of Edge Hill is one of Cairn’s oldest and most popular suburbs. Beautifully restored Federation and pre-war era homes line the streets, set within established manicured gardens. The suburb is peppered with chic eateries, gourmet delis, boutiques and shops for browsing. Edge Hill is home to the beautiful Cairns Botanic Gardens where visitors can learn about the fascinating flora of Tropical North Queensland. An alfresco cafe set amongst the lush tropical surrounds is the perfect place to grab a bite to eat. Visitors can also take advantage of the barbecues, picnic shelters and children’s playground provided. A boardwalk connects the Gardens to The Centenary Lakes, home of seabirds and turtles as well as spectacular water lilies. The Gardens feature an impressive arts centre creatively housed in three huge converted World War Two naval oil storage tanks. Here you can enjoy a production of performance art or wander through an exhibition. There is also the Cairns Chinese Friendship Garden, it is located within the larger Cairns Botanic Gardens Centenary lakes complex a naturally kept, vast garden in Edge Hill, to the north of the city centre.
