We both still work educating and helping people (Craig is a positive psychology consultant, educator and coach and Molly a secondary teacher) on the Sunshine Coast. We are incredibly grateful and blessed for the opportunity to wake up in paradise daily and we love welcoming people into our retreat.

A slice of Bali on the Sunshine Coast, Alaya Escape offers a tranquil and beautiful Balinese-inspired and wellness-focused retreat. Equipped with floatation tanks, red cedar sauna, massage and personal development options, tropical gardens, bar and entertaining pavilions and 4 separate bungalows (all with spas and fireplaces) overlooking an oasis pool. Options aplenty and guests' choose to have a sauna and pool plunge, followed by a float in our magnesium salt floatation tank and finish off with an-room massage. Alternatively, grab a cold drink and sit on the pool lounges or Bali huts next to the oasis pool and running water falls. Situated close to everywhere, with endless eating options and iconic Sunshine Coast experiences to venture out for. We MAY accept children and pets at some stages throughout the year. Guests must contact owners and obtain permission prior / after booking as some rooms and times may preclude this being possible. Lifestyle and wellbeing retreat options available.

We are situated on top of the Blackhall mountains in the Sunshine Coast hinterland, 20 minutes to the famous beaches of Mooloolaba and Alexandra Headlands, the shopping at Sunshine Plaza and Ocean Street, villages such as Montville and Maleny and a 500 meter walk to the Chenrezig Buddhist Institute. Explore the mountain trails and take in all of the sites and senses of a mountain top rain forest using one of our 4 mountain bikes. Listen to the birds and enjoy the solitude of a beautiful and unique hideaway.

1. We are NOT a "Bed and Breakfast", we are a Retreat for couples and solo travellers wanting to Reconnect and Restore. If you advertise us as a Bed and breakfast, this will not work as it is not who we are. Our facilities use are included in the price of stay at the retreat.

2. "Additional facilities include a fitness room, hot tub, outdoor seating area, picnic area, and games room." This needs to read (if you want to book the room): "Additional facilities include a magnesium floatation tank, hot and cold tubs, outdoor sauna, gym, training room and outdoor Bali huts.
