Originally from England, your hosts met in Austria in the late 1980s, whilst working in the travel industry. They guided tour groups around the local area, including Hallstatt, and still enjoy welcoming guests to this magical area and offering information to help everyone make the most of their stay :-)
Your apartment has panoramic mountain scenery with wonderful forest and river walks from the doorstep. It offers peace and tranquility in a delightful, natural setting - away from shops and bright lights!
Fabulous sightseeing in the local area include the picturesque village of Hallstatt and the Krippenstein mountain - with its ice caves in the summer, and skiing in the winter.
Further skiing (and hiking!) are at Dachstein West (resorts of Gosau / Russbach), approx 20 mins drive away. There are local health spas for visiting during the day. Salzburg is just over an hours drive and lots of lakes and pretty local villages to explore!
