It's the best place I've ever stayed, I guess? The price seems impossibly low for everything included. Like breakfast in the morning, beer/barbecue in the evening, very clean modern rooms, super comfy beds, towels (for deposit, but you get it back). And the staff at the front desk is amazing! Ready to help with any question, arrange for your a taxi or whatever. I know for some people location was a bit of a problem, but I liked it staying out of town. Breakfast is included, dinner your can order right here at the hostel kitchen. If you wanna go party and explore night life, they have a bus that brings people to the town and back late in the evening/night (so at the hostel it's very quiet after 10:30pm). And then if you need to go somewhere just rent a bike right at the hostel (80k/day and they also have some real helmets, not those crappy caps!)

The surrounding scenery was breathtaking, and the host even provided recommendations for local attractions and hidden gems, which made the trip even more memorable. The hospitality truly stood out. From the delicious home-cooked meals to the thoughtful little touches, it felt like a home away from home. I would highly recommend this homestay to anyone looking for a cozy, welcoming place to stay. It exceeded all my expectations, and I can’t wait to return!

The Oversleep Catba Hostel & Pool Bar di Pulau Cat Ba yang indah terletak di sepanjang Teluk Lan Ha dan berjarak hanya 10 minit berjalan kaki dari Pasar Cat Ba dan beberapa langkah dari terminal feri.... Upon arriving at CatBa Oversleep, I realized I had left my wallet on my sleeper bus and couldn’t provide a deposit. Their response was incredible — they immediately contacted the bus company, tracked down my wallet within minutes, and arranged for it to be returned to CatBa. Literal life savers! The staff also booked all my tours for me. I highly recommend the night kayaking trip with glow-in-the-dark plankton — such a cool experience! Their laundry service was great, and the daily happy hour is a fun, low-key way to meet other travelers. This isn’t a party hostel, so expect a more relaxed, chill vibe. But if you're looking for nightlife, you’re only a 5-minute walk from the two lively spots on the island. It’s easy to be lazy here — there are plenty of great restaurants and massage places within a 10-minute walk. Also, shoutout to the shower pressure here — probably the best I’ve experienced in all of Vietnam!

Terletak di Cat Ba, 2.9km dari Cat Ba National Park, Woodstock Jungle Camp menawarkan penginapan dengan taman, tempat parking peribadi percuma, lounge berkongsi dan teres. My stay at Woodstock Jungle Camp was excellent. From the first moment, I felt welcomed by the friendly staff, always attentive to my every need. The place exudes tranquility, surrounded by mountains, ideal for resting or reconnecting. Access is very easy, even by motorbike. The cabin I stayed in exceeded my expectations: comfortable, clean, and with impeccable facilities. The restaurant's food was also a huge plus: everything I tried was delicious. Without a doubt, this is a place I would choose again. Highly recommended if you're looking for an authentic and relaxing experience in Cat Ba.

This is an excellent budget hotel and hostel. All the staff are really caring. The reception staff also speak good English. The female dorm was cleaned daily with new towels and water. The room had a shared fridge and kettle. The pool is also really clean, with an excellent view of the city. I also appreciated the free daily breakfast. This is a really safe place for solo women travellers. Thank you for everything, and I hope to stay again soon.
