The previous night, we had ended up in what was supposed to be a private and exclusive albergue — which turned out to have bed bugs. On the way to this albergue, we were literally praying that this place would be different. When we arrived, we were greeted by a very kind staff member who explained everything and made us feel completely at home. We decided to give this place a chance to prove itself — and it absolutely did. It’s a very small and private albergue, with just 6 beds for pilgrims and 1 tent. There was one bathroom for 7 people, which might be an issue for some, but we managed to coordinate everything just fine. The place has a beautiful garden and terrace — perfect for relaxing in the evening after a long walk. There’s a spacious and well-equipped kitchen, great for cooking and having conversations. A washing machine is also available. The beds were clean and bug-free — hallelujah! The owners are absolutely wonderful, very helpful, and truly make you feel at home. The whole place felt exclusive in the best way. Highly, highly recommended!

Complete with a private bathroom fitted with a bidet and free toiletries, all rooms at Casa da Fonte - Gerês have a flat-screen TV and air conditioning, and selected rooms also boast a balcony. Location was exceptional. Beautiful view from the room. Very friendly and helpful staff. When we arrived at the hotel we were given a tour of this old renovated house. Delicious breakfast with home made jams. Room was very nice and quite spacious and clean.

A very beautiful place in an authentic small village with a nice view. The owner is super friendly and the food wonderful. The breakfast is lovely too 🥰 The rooms are big and clean. All you need is here. I wish I could have stayed longer. Highly recommended!
