It’s hard to find words for place as lovely as Casavia. The people are the best around - Carlos, Patricia, Jake and the rest of the gang are absolutely impeccable. They make you feel like family, cannot do enough and are just generally awesome human beings. Jake is also an awesome musician, and chef. Carlos is the king of Casavia - ensuring smooth stay for everyone and has an unbreakable bond with the dogs, and just generally makes you feel safe and looked after. Super clean, and the cleaners (whose names I’ve forgotten - sorry!) are super lovely and working super hard to keep the place spotless. Beds are the best I’ve ever had in the whole of my time in Asia. Kitchen facilities awesome. Views of the sea. Great location. Pretty much a private beach nearby? Showers in the jungle? What more could you ask for. Obsessed with the shelves you get inside your pod. This was a place you could fully unpack and make a “home”; which is why I stayed for 3 weeks - and why you should too.

A real hidden gem up north in Burgos!

The place is located at the north of the island in what seems to be a remote area which is anything but that. It s located in a small village which is surrounded by other villages where you can find every need in. This hostel has has an incredible intimate social space where you can meet exceptional, interesting, kind and genuine, like minded people who are looking to have some quiet from the hustle and bustle of General Luna. The staff are just as welcoming and lovely, extremely helpful and kind and will always lend a helping hand for whatever need you have. This place let's you connect with the locals in a way you rarely see and it's truly a wonderful experience. On top of all that it s very comfortable, close to amazing beaches and can give you a great "home" vibe especially on longer stays.

Room was modern, clean and good value for money. They got scooter rental at the hotel wich was very convenient. Staff was friendly and helpful. 5 stars from me 😊🌟

Terletak di General Luna, 8.7km dari Guyam Island, Haole Surf Hostel mempunyai penginapan dengan lounge berkongsi, tempat parking peribadi percuma, restoran dan bar. I highly recommend this place! We had been looking for something a bit outside of GL and Haole was just perfect. The host was incredibly kind, gave us perfect tips in perfect english. During our stay there was a brief time without water, which the host immediately had fixed for us. The room was super clean and amazing for us, with a shared terrace with freezer, water-refill, a darts game and plenty of space to hang out. The rest of the staff was also super kind. They are handling both the hostel and a restaurant downstairs, which is also very nice! They even fried some eggs that we brought ourselves, as for vegetarians the restaurant does not have that many options. 5 min by scooter from the hostel (bumpy road) there is a beautiful beach (Oceans 9) with a beginner friendly surf spot (beach break, left wave). I have to say, you do need a scooter in this area, distances too far to walk everything.

Super loved that our room is right in front of the pool. The staff were very accommodating and the shared space is always so welcoming and inviting. They have on-site motorcycle and e-bike rentals. Which is pretty convenient especially that the roads are sort of narrow and unpaved in Siargao. It is a quick 10 mins to the Tourism Road and nearest bank.
