The centrally located Rock Solid Backpackers Rotorua offers free WiFi, a neighboring rock-climbing wall and a spacious guest lounge including a tour desk, a billiards table and a cinema. The access was easy for all times of the day. The lounges and kitchen spaces were large and suitable for my child to be in. Staff were incredible from initial phone calls to during stay.

Amazing hostel - very clean (maybe the clenaest hostel I've seen in my travels) and well taken care of all faciltiies..Shared Kitchen was well equipped, bathrooms were a bit old ashioned but very clean. They have laundry possibilities and the rooms have heaters (well needed when it's winter in NZ).

Newly opened and refurbished in October 2020, Wanderlust NZ is a waterfront hostel located in a historical building in downtown Tauranga. The staff were friendly, helpful & professional.( My sister & I are much older than backpackers & they welcomed us so well ) The room was clean & comfortable. We loved the bay window that opened. The location was great for cafes , buses & scenery. Wanderlust has sincere ethos & kaitiakitanga.

Rotorua Downtown Backpackers is a modern hostel is located in the heart of Rotorua across the road from the I-Site and major bus lines. Everything really. The outside space being able to smoke is cool as.
