The accommodation features a shared kitchen, a tour desk and currency exchange for guests. What a gem of a place! We had the private double room over the kitchen and it had everything we could have needed. It was quiet, clean, and one of the best places we’ve stayed on our CA trip so far. The host was lovely and friendly, laundry was done super quickly. One minor comment was that we would have loved it if the kitchen had a toaster and kettle.

Good kitchen and very friendly owner and volunteers. About 100 meters to the beach and a 5 minute walk to the main area of town. Nice and quiet, and kittens!! For the price probably the best deal in town!

Nice location, walking distance to town/the ferry but quiet and away from the commotion.

The food prices are more than fair and very yummy daily specials. It’s a small hostel, so it is easy to meet other travellers in the main hangout area. The hostel is owned by locals. I can definitely recommend this place :)

The rooms are spacious, clean and modern. The restaurant and service is fantastic. The cocktails are great, the pool is nice and the staff friendly. The location is in the Jungle and yes it is further away from the city but we loved it. The shuttle costs 2$ per trip pP and takes you to San Juan del Sur in 15 minutes. There is also a shuttle passing by to get to the surf beach playa maderas which costs 4$ one way or 7$ round trip. Renting a scooter might be worth it though as cabs are insanely overpriced!!!!

We are in the Nicaraguan Ometepe Island, on the jungle slopes of the volcano Maderas 30km from the port town of Moyogalpa, between Santa Cruz and Balgue . El Zopilote is a unique place! The gardens are beautiful, and I loved learning about their oyster mushroom cultivation. i loved yoga, tours, and pizza night! The atmosphere was friendly and the food was fresh and delicious. Highly recommended!
