For me, this place was the perfect place to stay at on Holbox. It's an easy walk from the center, but far enough to be super quiet and peaceful. It's small but social, easy going, clean, very friendly people working here and the tents were comfortable. I liked the common area, perfect to chill in a hammock or have a chat with the other guests. The kitchen was well organized too. Just around the corner is a little market where you can buy fresh fruits and food, also a nice alternative from all the restaurants in the center.

The host was very helpful and always available. They have bikes for rental at 30 pesos ($1.6) per hour, so very decent pricing. The room was so spacious! Almost every hotel we stayed at had only HOT or COLD water, nothing in between. This was literally the only place that actually had warm water which was amazing! The hammock was so comfy that came with the bed. There was a shared kitchen with pots and pans, refrigerator, coffee maker, etc. She even had free water which most places did not have any. They had AC too which was lovely. It was also only a block or two from the ferry, super nice when we had to leave in the morning.

I stayed in a tipi and it was a great experience. I would definitely recommend it! Everything was clean and neat. No problems with hot water or airco. Both worked well. The tipi has no bathroom, but that was not a problem for me. The tipi does have a sink and even a hairdryer. Location was perfect in centro, nearby restaurants and supermarkets and about 15 minutes walk to ADO. The staff were very friendly and helpfull.

Conveniently established in the animated city center of San Miguel, Hostel Auikyani is located at only one block away from the island ferry pier. The owners care about the facility and the service. You can feel that instantly. In many hostels in Mexico I missed that. Both very nice people! I was in the dorm with 3 people. As the pictures showed no windows so everything cool BUT: max.3other people. Thats nice! High ceilings with powerful aircondition. So not having a window is actually a bonus! No light awakes you in the morning and burns you and together with aircon you have a cool climate. I didnt recognize the cutrains at the picd but the comfy beds have them. Good beds. Very nice and cheap activities like snorkeling. Way cheaper then "getyourguide" or the 1400pesos rip offs at the peer. So clean! Max.around 22people in the hostal, so its not getting too loud. Location is perfect, around 250m from the ferry peer.

First time for us in Mexico , we really appreciated the warm welcome and all the helpful advice given to us by our hosts . Benjamin and Morgane’s philosophy is to offer local tips and support to travelers. They also reach out to the local community for their unusual trips such as beach cleaning and dog shelter visiting . We tried salsa dancing and a visit to a lesser known Cenote . Totally recommended. The hostel itself is very comfortable- we had a double room with shared kitchen and beautiful garden with a little pool . The location was great walking distance to a lively little park where it was easy to pick up street food , a few restaurants and a local bus colectivo to the beach . Here there are lots of boat trips to go fishing or snorkelling on the coral reef . Puerto Morelos is an ideal first or last stopping point for Cancun airport about 25 minutes away .

Spacious and clean room, comfortable bed, nice extra touches like coffee, water and a small fridge, walking distance to everything you need. Would definitely recommend Ukayil!
