They're proactive, empathetic, and genuinely invested in ensuring guests have an amazing stay. 🤝 The rooms are perfect for a good night's sleep - I loved how pitch dark it was, allowing me to sleep soundly without any light disturbances. 😴💤 And, with a cafe in the works, this place is bound to become even more special! 🤤 Can't wait to see it reach its full potential. I had an amazing stay at Laughing Leopard in Trinco. I stayed a week- extending my stay twice! The staff is absolutely amazing and it’s clear that they genuinely care about the guests and the property. They go above and beyond to make sure everyone is cared for and happy, whether it’s arranging activities, tuk tuks, meals, etc. Okay wifi, good for Sri Lanka. Air con in the room from 8pm - 8am. Family dinner every night for 1000 lkr. Free breakfast which is amazing traditional Sri Lankan breakfast. 3 minute walk from the beach where there are bars/restaurants/cafes and many dive shops. Between the hammocks/central couch area and the organized activities happening every day, you’re guaranteed to have a fun, relaxing stay.

I loved this hostel. It had a cosy, family run vibe. Loshan was so friendly and we had a great time together. Great home cooking from his auntie which was a breath of fresh air after travelling and eating in restaurants every day. I would recommend this hostel for someone looking for a nice quiet place to chill while exploring Trincomalee. You won't be disappointed. Can't wait to visit again some day!
