We are a family of 4 who stayed 6 nights during June in the family room with 4 beds and a wonderful view over the bay. The guesthouse is run by a very kind and generous young couple who do everything in their power to make the guests' stay as convenient as possible. The place is renovated, well organised and kept very clean. There is a lot of information about Shimoda, and different equipments and facilities are made available for different kinds of activities. The kitchen and the common space for dining, hanging and socializing is furnished tastefully and it also has a nice view over the bay. We met a lot of interesting people with whom we had a wonderful barbecue evening together with the hosts. I would recommend this place 100% to anyone visiting Shimoda. Our whole family is already missing this place.

So many great things. The beds also are large and there are free cooking things at your disposal. The size of the hostel also allows for more deep connections with other guests. The owner is wonderful and always has a huge smile 😊

Location: ~ 3 minutes walk from Iseshi station, even if you use the JR exit, it‘s only like 10 minutes walk if you go slow. 2. the powderroom: spacious, comfy, warm, very clean, good lightning and big mirrors, finally a hostel bathroom you like to spend time in 3. 6 beds per room, very comfy and clean, good sheets, quiet 4. women only - felt super comfortable 5. the owner! Cute and enganged and very serious about his work, loved the breakfast and good taste in music ☺️ 6. supermarket, drugstores, convenient stores everything is nearby

Glocal Nagoya Backpackers Hostel yang dibuka dari bulan Jun 2015 ini menawarkan tempat penginapan yang moden, hanya 7 minit berjalan kaki dari Stesen JR Nagoya. Located a short walk from the Nagoya train hub, this hostel is run by a family man who has travelled extensively in the past so genuinely understands the importance of great hospitality. The staff were a joy and made me feel very much at home. Highly recommend!

The facility is little old, but very clean and the staff is very attentive and considerate.. we will definitely go back.. its like youre staying at the house of a japanese family back then. The toilet is old style but no problem at all.. the water is clean the bed sheets and bath is clean the kitchen stuffs also..

The house was so so well decorated and traditional. We loved every piece of it!! The couple running jt is so inspiring. They offer activities to complement the stay and such a good recommendations in the area. Would repeat without hesitating. Better if you have a car to move around.
