What a cool spot. The host Shiori is the sweetest person ever. She taught my partner how to play the cello then we played together in the sunset at the beach. Fukutsu is a wonderful, charming town. The house is clean and tidy, with great facilities, its always nice having access to a washing machine.

I wasn’t expecting much given prior disappointments at other similar facilities but my doubts were turned into excitement the moment I checked in. The staff were kind and welcoming. The room I stayed in was simple but superb with a comfortable bed and necessary amenities. Of all the nice things I can say about this facility, nothing compares to the kindness of the staff. The lady at the restaurant was exceptional. She was busy with many guests to serve, but still she was smiling and jovial and kind. Thank you for making my stay wonderful and I look forward to another stay when I visit Fukuoka.

Situated just a 3-minute walk from Nakasu Kawabata Subway Station, WeBase Hakata Hostel offers accommodation in Fukuoka. Free WiFi is provided throughout the property. The WeBase was one of our favourite accommodations during our 7-week trip. It felt more like a hotel than a hostel, even with the shared bathrooms. Everything was modern and impeccably clean. The lounge was big and comfortable, and had a rooftop sitting area. The free breakfast was substantial and always neatly presented. The toilets were always clean and there were plenty of showers - never had to wait for one and never got the ick despite the hostel being fully booked when we went. Keeping everything clean is so important to them, they slipped us a politely-worded note under our door requesting to clean our room because we had the "do not disturb" sign on our door for 2 consecutive days.
