Kagelow Mt.Fuji Hostel Kawaguchiko has been newly renovated in September 2015. Guests can enjoy the on-site bar. There are shared bathrooms on the ground floor, and Mt. Very modern looking Hostel, really nice Bar and Restaurant with a small menu of food to choose from. They have local and foreign staff, which makes it very easy to communicate even if you dont speak japanese.

Located a 5-minute stroll from Shimoyoshida Station, Hostel & Salon Saruya offers a renovated 80-year old Japanese-style accommodation with free WiFi. Beautiful hostel, very clean, super comfy and very well decorated. The staff were very nice.

The house is very calm and within walking distance of the lake and the bridge. They offer free bike rental (though there are only a few bikes available), which is great for exploring the area. The common room is very cozy and makes it easy to meet other travelers, and the showers are very nice, with an “onsen-style” feel.

The owner’s warm and welcoming personality adds to the charm of this stay. They shared many insights about the history and highlights of Asuke, making me feel as though I had become a part of this beautiful town. I stayed in a single room, which was spacious and comfortable, offering a relaxing experience. The restrooms and shower facilities were clean and well-maintained, and to top it off, there was even an open-air bath. It was the perfect way to unwind and soothe my travel fatigue. This is a place I would love to return to as a base for exploring Asuke.

Sooo comfortable and cosy! Double beds and private sections in the dorm make it feel like you almost have your own room. The kotatsu heated tables are a godsend. The owner is super sweet and makes tasty cheap meals if you don't feel like going out. Location is perfect, next to the station (and bus stop for Snow Monkeys, ski resort) as well as a convenient Lawson. There's water, tea and coffee and a fridge for guests. You get a free ticket to the local onsen! And Koharu the dog will take endless head scratches!

Terletak di Numazu dan dengan Pantai Senbon yang boleh disampai dalam 6-minit berjalan kaki, 沼津ライダーハウスしんちゃん menyediakan khidmat concierge, bilik bebas rokok, taman, WiFi percuma dan teres. Owners were super friendly, very communicative (they spoke some English, Google translate was handy) and very approachable with any request we had (they lend us futon with blankets for our car sleepover) Accommodation was nice, clean and tidy. We slept in traditional Japanese styled room with comfy futon. We stayed in classical room upstairs once, both clean. Wifi available. Shared area had fridge, microwave, kettle and toaster/grill, which were enough for us. I think they clean the shared area every day. But there was no cooking area nor plates nor cutlary. The owners were kind to lend us plates/bowls when we asked them. They didnt charge us anything extra for this. Location was also good. Despite the train station being bit further (20min walk), beach and Numazu port was closeby. Shop was located just next door, some small restaurants and convenience stores were around. The best home-like stay we had in Japan so far. We felt really welcomed.

Our room was very comfortable ( comfy beds and pillows and a great AC/Heater), the kitchen was well stocked and clean, and free coffee and tea all day. We loved the free bikes, gorgeous views and so many beautiful beaches. Our host was beyond helpful with any questions and he was just a pleasure to talk to. We felt like we made friends at this guesthouse and will definitely be back.

What a place. Super friendly, huge kitchen, huge common area, lots and lots and lots of nice info about local restaurants, temples, onsens. Oh, and free bicycle to roam the city! 10/10 would totally come back here
