Definitely the best hostel I have ever stayed. Very comfortable, clean room and bathroom, beds are super comfy, stable and private - they have curtains, also private light and plug. Female rooms and bathrooms are separated and it feels safe as well. Good location, easy access at night, staff is helpful. I stayed just few hours at night to rest before my bus but averall the experience was exceptional. Would come back again if I need.

They have family dinners and drinking games every night before the staff takes everyone out for different activities like pub crawl, boat or a bus party, bowling, etc. So there is plenty to do even for a week that I kept extending my stay. Special shoutout to Gemma who was so helpful in getting me settled in and lifted my mood after a long and tiresome trip getting into the city: she made the check-in process very entertaining by singing Hungarian folk songs, gave me great recommendations for things to do in the city as well as hostel reccs for the next cities of my trip. If you want to meet incredible, like-minded people who always want to have a good time and experience Budapest in the most life-changing way possible, this hostel is the way to go.

Zen Hostel is honestly a pretty chill place to stay. The vibe is super relaxed, and the staff is really cool. The rooms are clean and simple, nothing too fancy, but it has everything you need. I loved the common areas they’re great for hanging out or meeting other guys.
