A beautiful and comfy place, with great and helpful staff, good value for money. The kitchen is really well equipped with ovens and microwaves. We wish we stayed longer than just one night. The kitchen was well stocked with pans for cooking. Tea, coffee and hot chocolate were complimentary. Rooms comfortable and bathrooms clean. Dan, the owner, was interesting and enjoyable to talk with.

We liked the view from our room and we liked the kitchen a lot! It was clean and easy to whip up some meals. It saved us a lot of money instead of eating out (and actually not sure where to eat out really...).

We stayed for a week and had plenty of time to explore the local museum (you have to do the roundhouse tour), the Isle of Whithorn, the cliffs with the singing seals, Wigtown, the beach at Garlieston... all on foot and by public bus. No mass tourism, everyone is super friendly and accommodating.
