I liked the hospitality of Mr. Omar, the host. He waited for me at the ferry pier and took me to the property by private boat at his own expenses so that I would not get lost. and when we reached the property he welcomed me with a delicious mint cocktail. He did everything he could to make me feel welcomed and safe. Everything was just perfect. The location is also good, in a quiet part of Elephantine Island but at a walking distance from the public ferry (they only charge 10 Egyptian pounds one way to reach the mainland). Thank you Mr Omar from my wonderful stay!

DoroKa Nubian House mempunyai kawasan pantai peribadi, ruang tamu berkongsi, teres dan restoran di Aswan. It’s value for money, the staff were all warm and accommodating! Ahmad, the manager helped us arranged the excursions to Abu Simbel and to Luxor. It all went well and felt safe. Both trips require us to get up early, they were so nice to pack up breakfast meals for us. We tried to have dinner and it was delicious, we enjoyed the meat tagine in particular, similar taste to moroccan tagine actually. Internet was working, not so strong but it’s expected so nothing to complain about. The corner room on our last night was weak, it was okay coz we just crash to sleep for our early morning trip. Overall, everything went well and practically just what we need to experience Nubian community. Thanks to everyone for their hospitality.

The room was excellent: spotless, cozy, and tastefully decorated. Asmaa, the owner, was incredibly kind and welcoming. She also cooks wonderfully – if you’re lucky enough to try her traditional homemade food, you’ll truly enjoy it. The breakfasts were fantastic too, and one morning she even prepared a takeaway breakfast for our excursion. I absolutely recommend this place and would love to stay here again

The unbeatable view of the Nile from the terrace. Host was great and he can arrange everything for your needs. Situated deep in a Nubian village, you get to experience local environments. A bit of a walk to get to the boat crossings and restaurants, but that’s fine for young chaps. Great community spirits.

We had an amazing time staying at Chams House! My family (3 people) and I stayed for 3 nights. They greeted us with a fruit basket and lemon mint juice, which was such a thoughtful surprise! The house was super clean, spacious, and very comfortable, and the family made us feel at home the entire time. Since we had a lot of luggage, they arranged a microbus to pick us up from the train station, which made things much easier. At first, we were a bit unsure about the location, but the family helped us plan a great program for the 3 days, taking care of every little detail. A big delicious breakfast was waiting for us every morning. We also asked for a homemade traditional dinner, and they cooked an amazing meal for us. The family was so friendly and kind—we had wonderful conversations with them, and they were some of the nicest and most humble people we met in Egypt. They even called the bus station to help us with an issue we had with our bus to Hurghada. The wifi was surprisingly great, I was able to work the whole time freely. But the highlight for us was how authentic and local the whole experience felt. It was so different from anything else we saw in Egypt, and being immersed in the Nubian culture was unforgettable. The islands were beautiful, the food was fantastic, and the Nubian massage my mom, aunt, and I got in the guest house was amazing! They even let us check out late, since our next bus was untill 3pm. We absolutely loved our time at Chams House and would recommend it to everyone. Don’t think twice— I'm sure you’ll love it as much as we did! Thank you to Mr Chams, Mrs Bertuda, Khetamy and the cutest little Anas, you all made us feel at home.
