The dorm room was spacious and not overcrowded, the bathroom was quite big, clean, and offered hot water. The rooftop terrace is quite nice to relax, have a cigarette and enjoy the view of the city. The staff was very helpful and helped us get our sim card working. The hostel is located at around 10-15 minutes walking from the city centre.

Two nights stay in the town of Cotacachi during Inti Raymi was magnificent. The hostel, combined with a brewery, was our home from home, just seven minutes walk from the plaza. Comfortable, secure, with an outdoor common area to relax and enjoy the cats and dogs, and the beer. Our room was big with a very comfortable bed and a wonderful shower. Breakfast was excellent. We enjoyed many conversations with Roger and Melena, both so helpful. We should have stayed longer.

I felt safe walking during the day to the main cathedral and parque. The natural beauty of the area is a plus, as Ibarra is surrounded by beautiful mountains.
