The location is 15-20 minute walk from town and the beach, however I loved that as it was quiet and surrounded by nature. The outside space/garden at the hostel was a great vibe - hammocks, art work, fire pit, monkeys, etc. Very chill. Kitchen was also well equipped, and there was a mini grocery store less than a minute walk away.

This is the best hostel I went to during my 5 weeks in Costa Rica. Beds are comfortable, there is a huge bathroom where there is shower and toilet in each unit, great kitchen with lots of kitchenware and two electric stoves. In the dormitories there are enough space for all the backpacks and stuff. They have small lockers for valuables. Nice pool with sunbeds and hammocks. And beautiful plants in the garden. Staff and volunteers and super nice and helpful, they really care about the wellbeing of their guests. And also the hostel is very clean. Close to center and supermarket. I am more than happy I chose this one in Tamarindo.

Set in Hacienda Santa María, 23.7 km from Miravalles Volcano, Santa Maria Volcano Lodge Hotel & Restaurante offers accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a restaurant and a bar. A hidden gem! Such an amazing experience in the rainforest, the sounds of the rain on the roof all night was truly magical. We arrived in the evening (and hungry) and had a beautiful dinner cooked with so much care & love.

Offering an extensive garden with an outdoor lounge area, a shared living room with TV and swimming pool, Hostel La Botella de Leche is located 300 metres from Tamarindo Beach. I liked that the property was close to the downtown Tamarindo and the beach and of course the pool. Btw, her receptionist Ailén was so kind and friendly. Thank so much.
