Surrounded by a lush garden, the Youth Hostel Locarno is 1.5 km away from the train station and the Lake Maggiore. i had to check in late due to a late night train, but the staffs were super helpful in ensuring that i manage to check in by myself. got a shared dorm all by myself and i thought the staffs were very considerate because i was pretty worried that i would wake the roommate during late night if i had one.

The restaurant is good, very tasty food. It has a hostel vibe but for the price, it's great. Better to have a car... not central. Very spacious showers. The view from the terrace is fantastic!

EasyRooms is situated in the heart of Locarno, directly beside the Dell’Angelo Hotel on the Piazza Grande. Quite a nice hotel, pretty close to the train station and the lake. The restaurant underneath is really good, and the rooms are well kept and clean.
