Located directly at Lake Wolfgang, Jugendgästehaus Sankt Gilgen offers free WiFi and free private parking. The Zwölferhorn Cable Car is 400 metres away. Great location. Very good value. We were a mother and adult daughter traveling together. We had a room with a private bathroom. All was very clean and comfortable. Location across the street from lake was perfect. Free parking. Breakfast was basic, but good. My first time staying in a hostel and I was very pleased.

Jugendgästehaus Bad Ischl offers accommodation in Bad Ischl, 20 km from Hallstatt, featuring free WiFi in public areas, a furnished terrace and a games room with table tennis and table football... Our room was very spacious, well light and with many outlets. It was clean, quiet and comfortable. Breakfast was fine. We were able to leave to luggage in storage without a problem.

The family room is very large and comfortable better then in some expensive hotels in the area. The feeling of freedom. At the reception we found our key, no need to complete as in other hotels the formulary before accessing the room.

Featuring numerous sports facilities, this hostel in Obertraun enjoys a scenic location between Lake Hallstatt and the Dachstein range. It also has an outdoor pool and a spa area. This is a wonderful location and fine facility to use as a base for exploring Hallstatt and Dachstein-Krippenstein, both of which are just a few minutes drive away. The staff were incredibly friendly (including when we were about 20 minutes late for our check-in and a kind lady stayed late to meet us). Our family of 5 stayed in two rooms, which were large and very clean. They were essentially nice dorm rooms, each with 3 single beds and a private bath. It is a pretty location with nice views of the mountains. We also appreciated the parking available for our rental car. Hallstatt is about a 5 minute drive up the road. Because we were so close, we were able to get to Hallstatt early in the day to find a good parking spot in Park Platz 2 (very near the funicular up to the salt mine) before the crowds arrived.

Located at the foot of the Dachstein Mountain, Jutel Obertraun is 4 km from Lake Hallstatt. Easy to find, friendly staff, good breakfast (but only from 8-9am), excellent location near Hallstatt and Dachstein, comfy beds. Nice little community areas to hang out or eat. Free parking.
