The host was extremely welcoming and friendly, everything was clean, the kitchen had everything, the bed was super comfortable, and it is a brisk 10 minute walk to the lake. The host gave me recommendations for where to go and there is a grocery store 2 minutes away. It is also (as of when I stayed) very well priced and totally worth every penny!

I planned to stay there one night, but the beautiful city and cozy hostel made me book an additional night. Hostel owner is super cool, welcoming, hangs out with guests and even gave me a lift out of the city to start hitchhiking. Wonderful stay and coolest hostel in Ohrid!

Can't recommend more, for the hostels location close to everything, normal beds, luxury now when all have bunk beds, bathroom in each room, but more important the host - Vesna - who made my stay unforgettable. I have never ever met such hospitable hosts in my life who made my short trip so comfortable and easy like I were a local. She gave me a lot of tips that you would never find in internet being a traveller. All five stars hotels shade away when it comes to blue lake hostel. Wholeheartedly recommended!

Hostel Bela is placed in a great position if you come by bus and leave early with it as I did, nonetheless is strategical for the seaside as well and you can have a pleasant walk through the alleys up to it, something recommended to see some hidden jems of Ohrid like the sv. Georgi church or the XV cent. Hadzhi durgut mosque, which are sadly out of common turistic itineray. Besides this, for its price location but has all the comforts you need, and the host is always available with a smile for every thing, from a nice chat with a coffee to info for the boat trip and help in any way possible. Top points: the room for breakfast is always open to chill a bit, is nice and cozy and has a piano as well (few notes slightly out of tune, but it can be played nicely) and the great include Macedonian breakfast, a must if you plan to walk miles in the surrounding areas as I did.

amazing place, so stylish and comfy beds, good amenities, cool host 😉lake for swimming just at the corner. cooking possibilities, coffee, fridge, extra bathroom available… even Netflix 🤩. I personally slept really well in this hostel. definitely the places where I will return - Ohrid and majap.

The owner, King Gyoko of Ohridonia, is a legend. There's nothing he wouldn't do to help a guest. You're keen to explore beyond the town? He'll give you a bicycle. You're going for a dip in the lake? He'll offer you mask and flippers. He knows everything, and everybody, in the region. His food, beverage and daytrip recommendations are all on the money.
