Extras include free toiletries and a hair dryer. The location is ideal. Gordon's Bay is a nice little town, not far from Cape Town or the airport. The setting is spectacular, with mountains and sea, and the beach is protected from major waves. There are a number of excellent restaurants within walking distance. The town is safe and the property secure. There is a beautiful drive along the coast towards Betty's Bay, which I highly recommend. There is a colony of African penguins there. Big Skies has a small pool, which we used in the heat of the afternoon. The breakfasts were very good, and there was a decent amount of variety. I enjoy the personal attention of guesthouses and small hotels, and Kobus and Irene were excellent hosts. Conversation at breakfast and the bar with them and other guests was enjoyable. Parking is inside the property gates and is secure.

The View is spectacular and we would have been just sitting there and taking it in. The breakfast was also really, really good and every wish was fullfilled. The owners are so nice and we love the service and will come back again.

A bonus was the beautiful walking trail amongst proteas and indigenous plants and birds! Rooms and villas had everything we needed and more! Everything was spotless and top quality! Villas were spacious and we had plenty of room for everyone. We had a private swimming pool and jacuzzi and access to a well equipped gym! We always felt safe and we had a wonderful time!
