Van der Stel Manor is situated in a residential area, 5 minutes' drive from the centre of Stellenbosch. The restored Cape Dutch home features a garden and outdoor pool. The room was extremely modern, clean and spacious and the manor by itself had and comfy feeling and made us feel at home. The staff (escorted petro) were very kind and they even helped my wife surprise me with a birthday cake. The breakfast was generous and tasty.

Upon arrival we felt a sense of belonging. Warmly welcomed by Limo and the host that checked in with us prior. Upon entering you are captured with tranquility and an ambiance as if you're about to have a Spa treatment. Everything was carefully yet meticulously thought through from Interior decor design to Architectural composition, all very well composed throughout. We will definitely be back to experience sundowners and sunsoaking surrounded with expansive views and a touch of nature. Very well located walking distance to nature and well renowned wine estate on your doorstep. Breakfast was amazing and catered for all.

Even though I arrived slightly after 5pm the checkin instructions were very clear and easy to follow.

Breakfast was outstanding, generous and carefully served. There is an excellent restaurant nearby and several wine estates worth visiting in the area. A stop that combines relaxation, nature, and warm hospitality: highly recommended.
