The property is stunning, exuding authenticity and offering a serene, retreat-like atmosphere—an ideal spot for relaxation. The breakfast was exceptional, with eggs, toast, an array of fresh fruits, and incredible smoothies, making it the perfect start to each day. Lee and Raluu are outstanding hosts who go above and beyond to ensure a great experience. The trips we booked through them were fantastic and trustworthy. We can't recommend this place highly enough and will definitely return!

The food was excellent and the hospitality from mama root is as if you are at home. All the arrangements for so organized and also the beach is so in front of the property that you will just sit on the beach whole day and still will not be bored.

For several reasons, we had to postpone our stay at Mango Beach House, in Jambiani, three times in the past. Finally, 2025 was the year for something long awaited. The expectations were high, but the reality surpassed them. A dream spot, right on the beach. The facilities, the outdoor and sea temperature , the sound of the crows, the breeze and the waves, the laughter of the children at night playing football on the beach, the food (delicious breakfast and wonderful meals), the friendliness and availability of the hosts made us wish that it could be our 'forever home'. And the truth is that during our stay we felt that it was also our home, thanks to the warm welcome from Beth, Dhula, our extraordinary chef Hemé (don't know how to spell it) and all the rest of the staff. There was also the opportunity to do some additional activities suggested and organized by Beth, namely a boat trip in typical Dhow, through the beautiful waters of Jambiani, as well as an unforgettable Mangrove tour, which ended at sunset, in a vibrant atmosphere in a bar in Michamvi. Set in Jambiani, in the middle of a local village , Zanzistar Lodge boasts a sun terrace with outdoor pool and is located just a short stroll away from the beach. We loved staying in the Lagoon room on the beach. Perfect location and laid back atmosphere. The room was clean and functional, and the service at the beach bar and banana restaurant were both great. Loved exploring the beach at low tide.

Offering a restaurant and a private beach area, Helwas Zanzibar Beach Hotel is located in Bwejuu. Free WiFi access is available. Each room here will provide you with air conditioning and a terrace. What a place. Very nice so clean you would feel you are in your own place only 9 rooms which makes is it stand out and special top service. House keeping your room will be cleaned every day like you have just checked in. The couples who run the place working very hard around the clock making sure every gust feels special. So nice so quiet yet thy have some activity on Saturday. Breakfast is thought about very well, you will definitely look forward to it. Very long sandy beach 🏖️ waiting for you. I have come to Zanzibar for three time so far this is my perfect place i stayed for one week.

Located in Nungwi, on the quieter north east coast of Zanzibar, Game Fish Lodge is situated along the beachfront and features an in-house restaurant, bar and a sun terrace. We stayed in the "Apartment with Sea View". It felt like we had our own place on the beach, but with 2 people, Colin and Lesley, who cooked us excellent breakfasts and dinners. We loved the fruit crepes. The meals were not only delicious, but. so large we always had left overs for lunch The balcony apartment is quite large and has an am,azing pato with spectacular ocean view. The pool is deep and overlooks the ocean. We had it nearly to ourselves. There is a fridge near ,the pool with beer and soft drinks at very reasonable prices. If you wish a more lively place for drinks, you can go into town or next door to the Skybar. There is direct access to the ocean and while there are sea urchins, I swan in the ocean all 3 days I was there, but made sure I was wearing wster shoes. Some days we walked along the beach several kilometers. Colin and Lesley left us yo ourselves, except during breakfsst and dinner. They were grest hosts.

Situated on a private sand beach overlooking the Indian Ocean, Zanzibar House in Matemwe features a swimming pool and bar. Scuba diving and snorkeling opportunities are also available. The breakfast was plentiful, a buffet and you can order from the menu as well. The food in the restaurant was delicious! Had an incredible seafood risotto. This place is magical, artistically decorated, beautiful rooms & right on the gorgeous beach. The staff was so kind and accommodating. Francesco made sure I had everything I needed. Zanzibar House was a true oasis of peace & relaxation.
