I love everything about the property, very close to the village where you can find supermarket, restaurants, and any other kind of tour that I was looking for. 1min walking to the beach , not packed beach and with very chilled vibes, perfect for couples and families. The rooms are beautiful and comfortables, details oriented. Pool just for us anytime we wanted , and the fact that they don’t do the cleaning everyday for the climate impact we found it very ecological and nice, something that we appreciate.

We spent 8days and we loved everything - the room, the space, the food, and especially the staff! Everyone was really nice and warm with us, always with a smile on the face and ready to help. Mama Root has a wonderful set up that is perfect for relaxing and unwinding in the small village of Kizimkazi. The staff are all incredibly helpful and kind. The view is unparalleled. The meals were nourishing and delicious.

Set in Jambiani, in the middle of a local village , Zanzistar Lodge boasts a sun terrace with outdoor pool and is located just a short stroll away from the beach. We enjoyed every moment in Zanzistar ☀️ all employees were so nice, helpful and supportive. We loved the area, people, food ... Simply everything. Peter helped us with tours, mainly organized by Kacho and his team. Kacho is great guide, highly recommended. If you wish to spend your vacation with locals and not many tourists, Jambiani is great place to go and enjoy the atmosphere of real Zanzibar ❤️ we THANK everyone in Zanzistar who made our holiday unforgotable!

Offering a restaurant and a private beach area, Helwas Zanzibar Beach Hotel is located in Bwejuu. Free WiFi access is available. Each room here will provide you with air conditioning and a terrace. The property is beautiful! The location was great, a short walk to the main busy beach but far away enough to have some peace and quiet. I cannot rave enough about the staff. They were so kind and accommodating.

We loved that it was set back from the beach so it was quiet, yet we had easy access to the ocean and we had a wonderful view of the turquoise waters from our large covered balcony. The balcony was an extension of our huge and pleasant room. A delicious and plentiful breakfast was delivered to our balcony each morning. The owner was very kind! He allowed us to stay extra time, since our taxi wasn't arriving until after check-out time.

We were welcomed by Leslie and Collin, who are incredibly kind. They are caring, attentive, and warm-hearted. You can trust them they will take great care of you. If you’re planning to stay at Game Fish Lodge, make sure not to book any excursions in advance. Colin, who will take great care of you during your stay, knows exactly how to help you avoid tourist traps and get the best experiences at the right price. He’ll guide you with honesty, give you valuable advice, and make sure everything runs smoothly. His help is truly invaluable. He also checks the weather conditions beforehand to ensure it’s safe to go out on the ocean your safety always comes first. They’ll also recommend restaurants that suit your budget and even give you the chance to experience authentic local spots for a real taste of the island. We absolutely loved it.

Situated on a private sand beach overlooking the Indian Ocean, Zanzibar House in Matemwe features a swimming pool and bar. Scuba diving and snorkeling opportunities are also available. I did a huge amount of research before booking this particular property and we were not disappointed at all. It is NOT like staying in a hotel, it is more like being invited to stay at a family house with friends who have exceptional staff providing for you and them. Maxi and Milia are Italian and their home reflects this, as well as their approach with guests, and we found them to be excellent hosts, who will chat with you and help you any way they can in a way I have never experienced in a 'brand' hotel, ever. One of the reviews I saw suggested that Italian guests were better treated - we are English and were treated wonderfully, by absolutely everyone. Another review said the food service was slow because they were not guests of the property, they are completely missing the point, and the style of Zanzibar. I cannot recommend this property enough. The hosts and staff provide a (much quieter than average) place to stay in Zanzibar where you can do as little as you wish, or as much as you want, because your hosts will gladly organise trips with their drivers and cars like they did for us.
