Despite a last minute booking late at night due to cancelled plane and lots of people checking in at the same time the receptionist was amazing, patient and very helpful to make all the arrangements including booking a last minute taxi for very early morning. She’s a gem and should get a raise!!

Casa dos Castanheiros Angra do Heroismo is a recently renovated guest house in Terra Chã, where guests can make the most of its garden and barbecue facilities. Among the facilities at this property are luggage storage space and room service, along with free WiFi throughout the property. Staff on-site can arrange a shuttle service. The apartment is very clean and comfortable, colorful and nice. The hosts helped us with making reservations for trips and restaurants and were always available for everything we needed. We chose to have breakfast and it was delicious, it was served on the terrace with a great view over the garden. Maxime put a lot of effort arranging the garden and it looked spectacular, it was even a small pond with fish. We recommend staying at Casa dos Castanheiros and we hope to return soon.

There was no problem to host us in the middle of the night - our flight was delayed. There are friendly dogs living there.
