The room was very clean, cleaning incl. changing towels took part every day. There is a shared kitchen where you can have a cup of tea or coffee and enjoy beautiful view from the terrace. The owner is a very kind lady, she gave us many useful recommendations for beautiful places to visit. The service was in overall excellent. If we ever return to Sao Jorge, then definitely to this guesthouse. The location is perfect for hikes or as a starting point for day trips, everything is quite close. The town itself has a supermarket and a plethora of cafés and restaurants to choose from.

Everything about this place is incredible -- the house, the views, and the hospitality.  The bedroom is large, bright, and comfortable, but guests also have the use of the rest of the gorgeous villa, too -- the kitchen, dining room, living areas, terraces.  The views of the neighboring islands are stunning.  And Lina and Rui may be the kindest, sweetest hosts we have met in our many years of travel.  Everything here is absolutely perfect.

Rui's home is located at the end of the village in the most peaceful area with a stunning view. Yet it's close to everything. We had an amazing time here. Rui is the most amazing host I've ever meet. He is helpful, thoughtful and always available to help with anything that can come up. Rui helped us to plan our stay on the island, gave us ideas what to visit and welcomed us like we were family. Rui's place is not just another nice accomodation on the island, it's a home away from home. And I would recommend anyone who wants to have a real Sao Jorge experience to stay with Rui. We will definitely return.

Perched on the mountains of São Jorge Island, Cantinho offers a furnished terrace with an infinity pool and a hot tub. It offers luxurious, air-conditioned apartments with a private patio. The location is so incredibly beautiful! Close to both the airport and the Velas port for ferries, with access to hikes, and including a fabulous pool and all the other amenities you could want, this is the perfect place to stay on Sao Jorge. We used the comfortable apartment with squeaky clean linens, cooking and dishware, and patio furniture. Lots of space and surfaces for packing suitcases and feeling at home. The sunsets were STUNNING and all the requests we had were generously completed with smiles. Thank you so much to Max, Gabi, Thiago, and all the lovely staff!
