Beautiful and large renovated property with a lot of history, still run by the original family who owns it. The large garden is super peaceful and perfect to recharge after a day of hiking in S. Jorge. Everyone at the property was super kind, welcoming, and thoughtful - from D. Graça, the owner, to André and Catarina. Truly a special place that I would recommend without hesitation, and the favourite among all the places we stayed at during our two weeks in the Azores.

Featuring accommodation with a sea view and a terrace, Quinta dos Dragoeiros - RRAL Nº3452 is located in Queimada. This homestay offers free private parking and free shuttle service. Everything about this place is incredible -- the house, the views, and the hospitality.  The bedroom is large, bright, and comfortable, but guests also have the use of the rest of the gorgeous villa, too -- the kitchen, dining room, living areas, terraces.  The views of the neighboring islands are stunning.  And Lina and Rui may be the kindest, sweetest hosts we have met in our many years of travel.  Everything here is absolutely perfect.

We had a very nice time at the home of Ruis, and we only wish we could stay longer. The house is very clean, the room we booked comes with a nice private bathroom, and we could also use the kitchen. The hosts waited for us at the port, as our boat was late, explained the most beautiful points on the island, and helped with our car rental, and found a taxi for the faja hike we did one day. In the evening we had very nice conversations with Rui the uncle, while listening to the most fantastic cries of the cagarro birds flying above our heads and the nearby rock - it is one of the most memorable things from this island. The house is 15-ish minutes walk to the center of Velas, as well a big supermarket. The whole town is very safe and pleasant. The island is very beautiful, with some dramatic scenery, and our most honest advice would be to stay longer on Sao Jorge, if possible. The faja hike is one of the most pleasant and enjoyable hikes we have done.

Super flexible with check-in and check-out, and also available to pick me up at the ferry or airport! The accomodation was super clean, and you can have meals looking at Pico Mountain. There's also a kitchen and a big fridge, and also a living room :) My stay was perfect. I will come back still this year again!

Perched on the mountains of São Jorge Island, Cantinho offers a furnished terrace with an infinity pool and a hot tub. It offers luxurious, air-conditioned apartments with a private patio. The suite has 2 decent sized bedrooms with king beds (2 twins together), which were very comfortable. One bedroom had a 3 piece ensuite bathroom and the other 3 piece bathroom was just down the hall from the 2nd bedroom. The kitchen had great appliances, including a washer and clothing steamer. We really enjoyed the patio area with inside views of the courtyard. It was a great location where we could easily walk to the gardens, harbour and shopping area.
