Friendly welcoming family, big food portions and very tasty. Bedroom very comfortable and bathrooms also very clean. Jose Luis spoke English which was very helpful. Authentic homestay experience, gave us traditional clothes for the dance in the evening and they brought and danced with us.

I highly recommend staying here, Isaac and his family are lovely and took care of us. It is impressive what they have been able to create in the middle of the floating village. There was hot water and we were toasty at night as isacc brought us hot water bottles (we didn’t need the heater). Isacc took us on a tour around the islands with his traditional boat and taught us quite a lot about the history and way of life. Do bring a book and there isn’t any wifi although we had cell network. It was a nice way to disconnect and enjoy the views.

The accommodations are rustic, but if you are looking for a way to experience Taquile Island and interact with a lovely family this is the place for you!

The room and the bathroom in such a good shape and new condition! Super clean and most importantly very nice and hot shower(had to wait few mins tho until it warms up). You might think you are far away from the central but there is a minivan that cost 1 soles takes you straight to central part within less than 10 mins and it comes so frequently that you will never have to wait! Big plus for letting us stay without a problem in the place for the whole full day (as we had to get the bus at night to Cusco). Very quiet location!

He welcomed us with open arms and made sure we where good. The location is super, the beds where comfy and the food was great.

Hostal Sumak'usi terletak di Juliaca, 41km dari Yanamayo Stadium dan 43km dari Puno Train Station. The host is very kind and friendly. She is always happy to help and tries to provide all the information you need. Even though my Spanish wasn't very good, she used Google Translate for effective communication with me. I was supposed to stay only one night, but my stay was extended due to my flight cancellation. After dealing with the stressful situation at the airport, she gave me a warm welcome when I returned to the hotel, which made me feel at home and relieved. Also, the location is great. For instance, there are some markets and a mall within walking distance. It takes about 10 minutes to get to Juliaca airport by taxi and about 15 minutes by colectivo (route B-1).

Mada is one of the best guesthouses we stayed at in Peru. It has the standard of a good hotel, but the prices are very low. Starting with the room – very clean, elegant, with a large and comfortable bed. The bathroom was also perfect, with an excellent hot shower that was just wonderful! A big TV with YouTube and streaming platforms, and a very convenient location right in the city center. Great breakfast! Great service (greetings to Angel)! They also offer several tours you can book directly with them. Honestly, you won’t find a better place in Puno for this price!
