The property has a beautiful small botanic garden with a few farm animals (chickens and goats). the building itself is a stunning piece of architecture honoring traditional Moroccan berber/folklore roots. The hotel room we had was a grand (very pleasant) surprise. It was spacious and filled with mostly furniture and other pieces made of more natural fabrics and materials, but it didnt overcrowd the room! There is a parking space with a guard who stays there though the night to make sure nothing happens to your car.

Located 800 metres from the centre of Ouarzazate and just 2 km from the airport, the Riad Dar Bergui offers an outdoor swimming pool, a terrace and traditional Berber design. The dinners were exceptional and the couple who run the place are friendly and charming.

Breakfast and tea are served on the rooftop terrace, from where you can enjoy both sunrise and sunset. If you wish you can book a guided tour through the oasis. We enjoyed our time at the Heritage House very much and even decided to prolongue our stay. Thank you Nadia for everything, it was a great pleasure to meet you. Very clean, comfortable, quiet, good breakfasts with homemade breads, and hot water for showers! Highly recommend exploring the palmeria across the street. A magical oasis of date palms and farmland. We also enjoyed the two hour hike following the river up to the gorge and even walked back. Rachid is a kind host and helped us get a taxi to Merzouga at the end of our stay. Staying here was an unexpected highlight during our two months travels across Morocco. Amazing value!
