The service from the personal is excellent. They are polite, professional and made sure I have a quick check in and a comfortable stay. Rooms were super clean, the hotel seems to be new, the design was super cozy. Breakfast was great. Thank you to everyone at Riad Dar Awil for making my stay so memorable. I could gladly return and recommend this riad to anyone visiting Essaouira.

Meryem, Saeed and Amina are the soul of the place. They make you feel so at home. Every need of yours is met. Everything they can arrange for you they will. Every request catered too if it’s possible with them. I was a solo traveller from India that went for the Gnaoua festival and I was lucky to find a last minute reservation here. No matter the wee hours of the morning I came back gentle Saeed was there to open the doors and check if you needed anything. Sweetest Amina in the morning prepared breakfast and got your laundry organised and cleaned the rooms. Meryem the most adorable efficient yet so so warm ran the place with so much joy ! I felt so at home there and truly showered with a lot of love. I wish I had more time to spend there but I was out most of the times. Go here not just for a place to stay but to experience the true nature of the Eassouiaran hospitality. I will definitely be back there.

The place is gorgeous, the amount of effort put into decoration and all the little details everywhere is astonishing. We also had dinner at the property, food was delicious from start to finish. The place feels more like a home away from home rather than a guest house. Would absolutely recommend.

If you want to see Essaouira it is about 20 mins away and there is also secure paring in front of the souk. Make sure you also visit the winery in Val d'Argan - a very special place!
