You sleep in big tents, which have fans, mosquitoe nets and chargers. The staff is really nice and the island is beautiful. They say you should not expect a hotel stay which makes sense, but we thought it was so much more than that because it just feels like paradise. You have hammocks all around the property and areas to just sit and chill. You can rent bikes for the island and explore the nature and wildlife.

Amazing all around. Tony was very responsive before my arrival, super friendly, and has all the info. The house is in a great location, I had a room facing the street and it never bothered me (and I'm actually a light sleeper). The room was cozy and I enjoyed the balcony (especially the kettle lol). Highly recommend staying here and I will definitely visit Jaffna again and stay at Tony's!

Allen's place is a little oasis in the middle of Jaffna. We loved our stay! The room and bed are very comfortable and the breakfast made fresh every morning by Allen himself. This was an enchanting stay in a residential suburb not too far outside of the main Jaffna city. The house is 150 years old, and it does feel like staying in an old mansion - with the giant keys and fancy doors. The guesthouse owner was very kind and helpful, and made me delicious food for dinner. He also assisted with laundry for no charge. There is no heated water, but there is a built in "fountain" in the wall, which added to the old-timey feeling.

Miss. Iniyal, the manager, greeted me with a smile and made sure that I got what I actually wanted to get, I mean basically anything which does not necessarily have to be related to the hotel stay. She also was doing house-keeping where she made sure that the room was spotlessly clean. The boss of the place, Mr. Thilak was also kind and managed the place well.
