We recently had the pleasure of staying at S and D homestay in Nuwara Eliya and it exceeded all our expectations. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by the friendly and helpful owner and his amazing family, who ensured a warm welcome and served for us delicious lunch (the dining experience was truly a delight). One of the highlights of this homestay is its’ beautiful view from the terrace: you can sea the Lovers Leap waterfall and tea plantations (walking distance). The room is spacious and cosy, even with the patchwork rug on the floor. There’s also a nice common living room. Overall, our stay at S and D Homestay was exceptional. The combination of the hospitable family, delightful meals, beautiful view and the refreshing cool air made it a remarkable experience.

Sanjaya and his family are so friendly and service minded. He picked us up at the train station and spent the day showing us some great places, including a tea factory. They also offered us dinner, which was amazing. Would definitely recommend this place, it’s really a cozy heaven. Thank you for having us!

We really enjoyed our stay. Chaminda is an excellent host. He is very knowledgeable about the area and gave us lots of accurate, up to date information about the area and things to do (much more up to date information than we were able to find online). The rooms are spacious, clean and tidy. The bedding is nice, warm and cosy – perfect for the slightly cooler weather in Nuwara Eliya. The shower had good hot water. The breakfast was nice and always on time each morning. We’d happily stay again.

If you’re coming to Nuwara Eliya with visions of old world charm this is the place for you. We loved our huge bedroom, it was perfect for a family of four. The decor and building design are gorgeous. The home is spotlessly clean. The hosts were very kind. The food delicious and fresh, the free breakfast was outstanding. It is a bit out of the town centre but this was a positive in our eyes. Easy walk into town or tuk tuk is cheap. Really recommend this place.

Treat someone as your own, you will definitely come back.” The above phrase works pretty well for Shan who was an amazing host with so much love and care he took of me in my solo journey. He provided a welcome tea with some Christmas Snacks prepared by his mother and then shared a map of locations which are good tourist attractions nearby. The breakfast was very delicious and will certainly look forward to booking his accommodation the next time I am in Nuwara Eliya.

The staff was very helpful and helped me arrange a tuktuk to go to Adams Peak at night. I have nothing to complain about!

He offered a car lift to explore the tea plantations and prepared a delicious breakfast.
