For a budget room, it's surprisingly comfortable and pleasant.The washroom was clean and big enough.Everything in the room and washroom is beautifully organized.Their hospitality was amazing.The owners and their family were incredibly helpful and friendly, offering valuable information about the tour... Hope we will visit again hear.

Our stay at Corner Cottage was great! The couple where so welcoming and warm. The food they cooked for us was so tasty! We did a cooking class with them aswell, which was so fun and interesting! They took such good care of us. The room is simple, yet spacious and clean, as is the bathroom. The bed was big, so very comfortable for my 2 meter long boyfriend ;) You also have a living area with sofas. If you go to Anuradhapura, I would really recommend staying at Corner Cottage!

He personally arranged our pick-up from Negombo, coordinated the drive to Wilpattu, and took care of every detail of our stay. The following day, we enjoyed a full-day safari in Wilpattu National Park, which I highly recommend! We were lucky enough to spot sloth bears, leopards, and elephants—a truly unforgettable experience. Moni Farmhouse is brand new and beautifully designed. It felt like staying in a private suite surrounded by nature, offering peace, comfort, and total immersion in the wilderness. All our meals—breakfast, lunch, and dinner—were freshly prepared and delicious. After our stay, Buddika also arranged our transfer to Anuradhapura, making everything seamless and stress-free. We are deeply grateful to Buddika for his warm welcome and outstanding hospitality. Thanks to him, our journey through Sri Lanka started in the best possible way. Highly recommended!

Menawarkan basikal percuma, taman dan WiFi percuma, Wilpattu Mookalan Resort terletak di Habawewa, 39km dari Kumbichchan Kulama Tank dan 39km dari Jaya Sri Maha Bodhi. Excellent location, few steps from the gate of the National Park! Room was very comfortable and very clean. Bed was super comfortable too and mosquito net provided. Air con was a welcome relief from the heat. Bathroom was also spacious and clean, hot water was great. The owner was the sweetest man, his nephew messaged to ask if I wanted dinner, I declined, but the owner knocked on my door to give me fruit and ice cream so I wouldn’t go hungry at night. So sweet! His nephew also provided me with a welcome drink and even took me on the safari. Highly recommend doing the safari with them, they were the most affordable and they really considered what animals I wanted to see and tried their best to find them. The breakfast, lunch and snacks were so good! I was very well fed! They were very accommodating to me and really put in effort to help me when my card had issues. I will definitely stay with them again.

Location was ideal. It's located on the edge of a wetland teeming with birds and has a raised platform for viewing or enjoying your meals. Hosts were extremely kind and attentive. I used the TukTuk service of the host on 2 days, his prices were more than fair, but more importantly, he quickly got a good read on what would interest me and made many impromptu stops pointing out things that interested me. I never felt rushed. Highly recommend, especially for bird watchers. This place lived up to its high rating score.

Our stay at Swan Lake Habarana was fantastic. Kalhara was incredibly welcoming and went above and beyond—organizing a cultural evening, a great safari trip, and arranging tuk-tuks at fair prices. He helped with everything before, during, and after our stay. The guesthouse was clean, comfortable, and surrounded by nature. The breakfast was also very good! Highly recommended!

The location is right next to the temple district, which is convenient for sightseeing. The family that runs the place are incredibly kind. They made sure that we were comfortable throughout our stay and helped us to rent bicycles and to find our bus at the station. The husband brought us in their tuktuk to these places. Their cooking is out of this world! We tried many of the dishes on the menu and all contained deep flavours, were freshly made and very filling. Some of the best food we ever had and for a good price. There is a nice 10 minute walk to the lake and the daughters accompanied us, thanks for the lovely chat! Bird-lovers can eat their heart out; while sitting in the relaxing chairs next to the pond at the resort we spotted many waterbirds, kingfishers, pelicans, hornbills, bee-eaters, eagles etc etc They have almost finished building a new, luxurious room at the second floor with great views over the rice fields.
