It was sparkling clean, delightfully charming, and filled with kindness you can’t quite put into words. My only regret? We didn’t stay longer. So until we return, go enjoy it for me and my son—we’re already missing it.

Effective October 1, 2025, a lodging tax will be introduced by ordinance of Takayama City. In addition to the room charge, 100 yen per person per day will be charged. Calm, nice peaceful vibes, everything was perfect. Epic showers.

I would say that this was our favorite place of all in 14 days we travelling in Japan. It was like coming home. My sons agree. We needed 8 minutes of walk from train station. We were being late since we missed a train in Koyasan, but owners waited for us. They are really warm and friendly. We got really great advice for restaurants. Room was nice and comfortable and clean. There is a bath, not just shower and also a washing machine. To the center it is only a short walk. We book a place with breakfast option and I really recommend it! Cucumbers and tomatoes were grown by owners! And food was delicious! They are such a nice team!!!

Our room, Sengen Noma included two bedrooms (each with two queen beds), a lovely kitchen, and a dining area.

The rooms are part of a temple. The hotel is very close to the main shrine and not far from the station so a great location. The place to stay in Shingu. Good value for money.
