Situated just a 2-minute walk from Shirahama Beach in Shimoda, Beach Side Inn Shirahama is cosy friendly accommodation with warm wooden flooring and furnishings. Complimentary simple breakfast is provided. We liked so many things about this sweet little place. Firstly, though just a few meters from the beach, but it's just enough off the main road that it was quiet. The outdoor onsen was a real treat, and we could even hear the waves from there. The staff was kind and communicative, even when we had to use translation devices, and graciously waited up for us, in spite of our late arrival time. The breakfast to-go was perfect. The room was comfortable, the price was right.... We appreciated everything there. We would definitely stay there again!
