I was coming back from a music festival and wasn’t sure if there were taxis operating from Echigo Yuzawa Station so I intended to do a 75-minute walk back, and she told me she was willing to pick me up. Fortunately, there were taxis making runs at 1am so I was able to make it back safely. I immensely appreciate her gesture.

Amazing & cozy place. Very welcoming hosts. The spacious rooms are located on the 2nd floor of a very cute café run by the owners. It is well-equipped and maintained, very clean everywhere. In the morning, there was an amazing breakfast downstairs in the café. Definitely stay for breakfast, it was an absolute highlight! If you stay in Yuzawa, you should certainly visit.

She speaks fluent English and we had some nice conversations. She also recommended and gave us a ride to a nice public bath. What we cherished most is the special visit to Mr. Kawanaka, the local artist. It’s our pleasure to meet him and appreciate his artwork. Truly memorable journey. Thank you!
