A wonderful host and home. We stayed in a room that accommodated 4 people in Japanese styled bedrooms. A traditional home, it was a beautiful experience. The hostess was so helpful, accommodating and warm. She helped ensure we had the best stay and got to know the local restaurants and shops. Would stay here again!

It’s in a more remote location, so it’s very peaceful. The couple running たね are so very kind, and their cooking is exceptional. Breakfast was so delicious. We wish we spoke better Japanese so we could have talked more. They were such interesting people.

It is a very pretty mansion close to the mount Aso. The view is amazing and the interior is cute and beautiful. I especially appreciate the fireplace, it made the whole house very warm and cozy. The warmness is especially important in houses in Japan - in almost half of my stats during the trip it was freezing cold with AC being of little help. The owner was very friendly and helpful. He helped us to get the luggage up the stairs, gave nice travel advice, it was really fun to talk to him. In the morning he helped us with the coffee machine and with the tea for my mother, I was really greatful. And of course the dog! The owner's dog Leo - fluffiest and cutest golden retriever also lives in his own room in the house. The owner took it out to interact with guests upon their request and Leo was such a good boy! Very calm and well-trained, I fully converted to a dog person now.

Fantastic welcoming by the host, we opted for the BBQ option and went grocery shopping using the bikes of the hotel - all of it was great fun! The bed was also very comfortable.

The staff was really really friendly and helped us a lot, even though we messed up the trip to the place. The spot is beautiful and definitely worth It.

It was super clean, 2 shower rooms and 2 toilets, the futons were thick and super comfortable, and the lady running it was so nice. She also speaks English. Towels can be bought there for ¥200-500 depending on the size as well as toothbrushes. Also provides shampoo and body wash. The room was well heated and we had a great sleep. 100% recommend. We didn’t use it but there’s also a kitchen and a coffee corner.

All in all a perfekt stay. Especially the hosts were really great. On my leaving day they had a trip planed into the same direction I was heading. Not only did they bring me to the harbor, we also had a little sightseeing tour on the way :)
