Friendly and helpful staff shares recommendations for breakfast and dinner places. If you come to hike the trail, there is no need for a five- star hotel facility. I would return to this place any time and will definitely recommend it to friends...

Effective October 1, 2025, a lodging tax will be introduced by ordinance of Takayama City. In addition to the room charge, 100 yen per person per day will be charged. Lovely staff and very clean property. We stayed in the dorm room and it was spacious and the facilities were all very well kept. Quick walk to the train/bus station and lots of restaurants and shop also a short walk away

He helped us out with transport and food recommendations, organised luggage transfer for us and dropped us where we needed to be on our last day. A great bonus was the record player and a few records to spin in the evening!

She helped me find a wonderful dinner in this off the beaten track historic town which was an absolute delight. The guest house is clean and comfortable and I would recommend it to any traveler looking for an authentic experience.

It’s a perfect place for long walks and great for someone who need a break from cities. Not that far from train station or big supermarket (half an hour walk).
