Location was perfect for me, as it is near friends, but it's only a few mins drive from town.

Elizabeth was a great host; she provided a home-cooked breakfast with locally sourced ingredients from Monaghan, which was fantastic. The rooms were cute and cozy. The bathroom was large, and the shower was very friendly, with excellent water pressure. This was our first overnight stay in Ireland in a commercial, non-hotel environment. We didn't know what to expect from the B&B experience, and overall, it was great. Our host was very knowledgeable of things to do and places to stay in the other cities of Ireland we were traveling to.

Offering a restaurant, Riverbank, Country Pub and Guesthouse is located in the countryside 10 minutes’ drive from Carrickmacross. Gorgeous area and building, easily accessible, food was fantastic, very comfy beds, and the service was wonderful. Very cozy and lovely!

In the heart of the town of Monaghan, the family-owned Ashleigh House offers free WiFi. Guests can enjoy access to the garden and outdoor patio area. There is also a communal TV lounge. Excellent breakfast and a delightful hostess who was most accommodating and helpful at all times. A real home from home and highly recommended.
