The hosts speak perfect English and are incredibly kind and helpful — always available to guide us and offer great suggestions. The atmosphere is calm and relaxing, and we slept amazingly well. This is quite rare in Karimunjawa, where nighttime can be noisy due to prayer speakers — here, instead, we found true peace and quiet. We had originally planned to stay only three nights before moving elsewhere, but if we could go back, we’d definitely spend our whole time at Loyal Friend. It truly felt like home. The location is excellent: just a short distance from both the center and the harbor. We also rented a scooter at a very fair price — it was in great condition and gave us no issues at all. This is a special place that we’ll always carry in our hearts, and we recommend it wholeheartedly and without hesitation.

My stay has been short but beyond perfect. They also sell cheap dinners, which is a must try. If available, try to get the room(or whatever this small building is called) with a ‘mountain view’. Can see a lot of stars in the night and breathe fresh air. Staff has been very nice and helpful. Breakfasts are wonderful.

Maher House Borobudur mempunyai pemandangan gunung, WiFi percuma dan tempat parking peribadi percuma di Magelang, 15-minit berjalan kaki dari Kuil Borobudur. Convenient location 20-min walk to Borobudur main gate (Maher offered a ride on his scooter to the main gate and back - tho I chose to walk back... short distance! Lots of eatery options, supermarket and shops nearby.

Deepsky Villa mempunyai taman, ruang tamu berkongsi, teres dan restoran di Karimunjawa. We loved our stay at this hotel. Asty is kind and responsive. The food and the breakfast are very good. We recommend this place.

Beautiful cabin located in a garden with many plants and trees. Everything is made of wood and looks absolutely gorgeous. The cabin was clean and AC worked well. Our host Berman was also very nice and helpful, we could rent some bicycles to visit the countryside around. It was a great moment. The place is really next to Borobudur Monument, which was also very convenient.

Amazing location & fantastic service☺️Regarding the location, it’s built over the sea, just next to a mangrove area 🌊You can jump into the water from the property and snorkel there. They have goggles and snorkels free of charge. The water was clear even during rainy season. We saw many corals, giant clams and even some clownfish. They have kayaks for free of charge as well. We kayaked to Pantai Kanjen, where you can release baby turtles. In the morning, we saw the beautiful sunrise from our window and could hear the sound of the water below our bed. Regarding the service, the owners (Astrid and Tono) were very helpful even before our arrival. They messaged me and offered help to organize boat tickets, scooter rental and other transportation at very reasonable prices. After arrival, the host called Ben took very good care of us, he was very friendly, helpful and fun to chat with. At night he even showed us the bio-luminescent plankton which were visible from the deck. He definitely went above and beyond to ensure we had a great experience! No AC, but it was a comfortable stay with a big ceiling fan. No hot shower, but it was not a big issue for us. Overall we are very satisfied with our stay. Definitely wanna come back!

Janur Bungalow offers an accommodation in Borobudur, set in a village surrounded by rice fields. It boasts an outdoor pool with overflow circulation system. Amaaazing breakfast! Beautifull view, really tastefully decorated bungalows. Great pool. Thank you bobby, we will be back soon 😊

The spacious chalets and open, shaded spaces in the open air with a wonderful peaceful view, even of Mt Merapi. Small swimming pool is clean and well-maintained. Walking distances to restaurants, Borobudur Temple, groceries, etc. Friendly and helpful staff. Safe to walk or cycle, bicycles provided FOC by hotel, to explore the surroundings or to the town.
