A little different every day and there was always something freshly baked or prepared by our hostess, who was so friendly and full of answers to all of our questions. The inn was thoughtfully decorated and modernized without sacrificing the special quality of the Pelion region. We especially loved the night that we returned early and got to visit with all of the members of the family over tea and homemade snacks.

Xantha is great for two reasons: the stunning view of the Pagasetic Gulf, the mountains and Volos; and the really wonderful lady who is now running the place (and who also speaks very good English). One should take into account that the road up is steep, narrow and at some places winding, not an easy one, and it's best to have a good engine, but it's well worth it for the view from your little balcony and the friendliness and generosity of the hostess: who not only invited me to eat as many of the ripe figs from the trees as I possibly could, but even paid my bill with the dinner delivery man (you can order food up) since I was in the shower!... As well as your own balcony, there's also a verandah off the drawing room with its own view of the Gulf, and the outside patio sitting area is especially nice. There's an open bar in the main drawing room of the hotel where you can make yourself herb tea from a varied selection, or of course coffee. So unless you would find the drive up difficult, Xantha is very highly recommended!

She went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed and offered invaluable local tips that enriched our trip. The location of this place is nothing short of perfect. Situated with a breathtaking view of the sea, we were treated to stunning sunrises and a peaceful atmosphere throughout our stay. The beautiful garden surrounding the property added to the overall charm and tranquility. The rooms were not only spotlessly clean but also impressively well-equipped. It was evident that great care had been taken to provide all the necessary amenities for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. In conclusion, I can't recommend this booking enough. For a romantic getaway for two in Greece, with a genuinely friendly and attentive host, an ideal location, impeccably clean rooms, and a mesmerizing sea view, look no further.
