Occupying a traditional stone mansion with wonderful views of the surrounding area, Bacchus is a charming and luxurious pension 3 km from Ancient Olympia. A 10 is not enough to describe our experience in Bacchus. The inn has an amazing view (great sunset view too!) and a very cozy, rustic feel to it, aided by the basis on stone and wood. The room was spacious, spotless and fully outfitted with all the usual hotel equipment. All furniture and appliances were in great condition. The dining area is very pretty and the breakfast selection was varied and delicious all around. The restaurant has great food and reasonable prices. The pool is another highlight. It definitely is the cleanest one I've ever been to and is very beautifully decorated. The staff is very friendly and accommodating, they made us feel right at home from the very first second. I'll also have to praise Bacchus for being careful about conserving water and energy (e.g. 2 modes for flushing water, A/C goes on standby when windows are open). All in all, if you are in the area, this is the place to stay, no questions asked. We are already planning our next visit!

Pension Posidon is located in the centre of Ancient Olympia, just 350 metres, or a 5-minute walk, from the Archeological site and the Archeological Museum. The owners were always around and made us feel well cared for. The location is ideal — just steps from the main street and very close to the historical site. The room was clean and cosy. Highly recommend!

Appears to be an older property with some wear and tear, but the hosts were gracious and everything was clean and functioning. Super for a night and a hike.
