We organised a last-minute trip for a short getaway from Berlin as we wanted to go kayaking in the Spreewald. We were lucky to get the last room available at Bludnik. The location is stunning. You have to walk a bit from the carpark but the payoff is that you are in the middle of the forest with no traffic sounds, only the singing of birds, the rustle of leaves and the gentle lapping of water against the dock. The rooms are very modern and elegant and the bed is so comfy that I slept very well, even from the first night, which almost never happens when I stay in a hotel. The hotel has kayaks for rent which I thoroughly recommend as we spent a beautiful 3 hours paddling around the town and then out along the Spree, which is a gorgeous section of the river. Will definitely be back.

Very friendly staff. As others have mentioned, we managed to check in after 19 o'clock. Extra bonus: mosquito net.

The apartment we booked was super clean and comfortable. It had everything we needed, and the kitchen was fully equipped. There are two supermarkets nearby (Edeka and Netto). The owners are incredibly kind and lovely, yet very professional! If we come back for a vacation in the Spreewald, we will definitely stay at Haus Stenziger again!!
